I THINK i went to bed at around 8:30pm last night. 8:30….. I can’t remember the last time that happened! There was some sort of electrical issue in our neighborhood on Friday, but they didn’t end up working on our section of the neighborhood til late afternoon, when all of the sudden our electricity went out. Fine, no big deal…..but then it got later and later….no lights. Got the boys to bed……got the baby to bed…. still no lights…. DH and I are now hanging out in the pitch dark….and I decided, well i guess i’ll just go to bed! DH said the lights didn’t come back on til about 9:30 or 10pm!
Did i mention that it was also his bday and I had made homemade ice cream cake?!?!?! I’m scared to look in the freezer at what’s left of it!

Hope you had a lucky day yesterday…i know some of you spent your day drinking green beer and partying a little too hard! ahhaha At our house, we were visited by Lucky the Leprechaun who left the kids a little letter and a scavenger hunt! They were so excited as we read through the clues to find their little surprises! They each found a leprechaun hat, green jellibeans and then a pot of clovers! Justin, of course, was mad that he didn’t leave any GOLD behind like he had done at there school on Friday! Geez…. hahahah

This was a painful decision….I had over 70 people apply to the call and had to cut so many amazing scrappers! I hope that i you did not make it this time around that you won’t hate me forever! And please definately apply in future calls because I would be happy to have any one of you scrap with my designs!

Well clearly i have commital issues because here is yet another blinkie for you! AND i have to thank Jeannie for helping me because i had no idea how to create one w/ CS2! She walked me through the whole thing via. HELLO and suggested the word “color” blink in like that! Go Jeannie! And for all your help in making this you officially are the winner of my blinkie contest! Congrats! You just snagged yourself $5 to my FPD store AND $5 to my Oscraps store! Yay!

Reminder, tonight is the deadline for the CT call! I will then sort through all of them……did i mention there are over 70 as of now?!!!!!! Then I will send out invitations and post the new team members! Good luck ladies, it will be NO easy decision I can tell you that!

Some of you know that my son, Josh, was diagnosed on his 3rd birthday with Ulcerative Colitis (which is an inflammatory bowel disease). I’m a huge advocate for the Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) and feel it’s so important to spread the word about these diseases because the more we openly talk about them the more chances of funding for research and hopefully a cure.
 Anyway, I got this email today and had to share….
“H.R. 1113 proposes to greatly introduce research funding to key institutions, with a particular emphasis on pediatric research. You can make a big difference in this effort by e-mailing or faxing your legislators, telling them how important this issue is to you. ”
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Please contact your member of the House of Representatives and ask them to co-sponsor H.R. 1113, the “Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research Enhancement Act.” Â

Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was crazy as usual, but luckily we were able to get the kids outside today because it was such a beautiful day! I also finished loading a couple new products to the Oscraps AND Funky Playground stores! I’ll post pics tomorrow!
The CT call is still underway…but will be ending on Wednesday…i seriously have NO idea how i will ever decide on just a few people! *sigh*

If you have kids (or even if you don’t), you HAVE to try this recipe out! It makes this “Blue Goo” concoction that’s for playing with NOT eating! I use to make it all the time when I taught Kindergarten and the boys found a little booklet w/ the recipe, so we made some the other day. The had a blast!
Blue Goo:
1 box Cornstarch (16oz)
1 1/2 c. water (approximately)
food coloring (we used 15 drops of blue)
Mix it up well in a bowl, put your kids in their PLAY clothes that you don’t care about (the food coloring could stain), put a play tablecloth on your table…and DIG IN! 
The goo is neat because it acts like both a liquid and solid. It looks like a liquid (kinda like pancake batter) but then if you squeeze it it turns to a solid!!!
Tip: the following day it will be all solid because the liquid evaporates, just add more water, stir and play again!
