Happy Monday People! Keely here. I’m very excited to be making my first ever blog post. Although I’m a big blog reader I’ve never made the leap into publishing my own. Truth be told, I’m not sure I’m that interesting and well, I don’t need another thing that I’m unable to keep up with. This is the best of both worlds for me. Besides being lucky enough to hang out with inspiring people that I really really like, here’s another perk of being a part of Lauren’s team. I’m blogging baby!
Today’s topic, Inspiration. I’m all over it. Lately I’ve been making a real effort to stop and jot down ideas, bookmark pages, highlight or in some way mark things that get my mojo flowing. I’m often busy or multi-tasking and in the moment I am sure I’ll remember the nugget of inspiration later. Unfortunately since becoming a mother 9 years ago, my brain cells for that type of recall are shot. I spend more time being frustrated and beating myself up. I convince myself that if I could only remember I would have created the best layout/work of art I’d ever done. I’m still making progress but I have to say that I think it’s working. I like being able to look back and have some brainstorming started. It’s also a great snapshot of what’s going on with a person. I think you can certainly see when I’m hormonal by all the sappy, cheesy things that are marked down during a certain time of the month, things that would make me gag at any other point in time. And now I have another reason to cultivate my new habit……
I present to you my first Mojo Kickstart.I found today’s pick while surfing a local ad agency’s blog The Butler Bros.
Which led me to this:
These are both from one of their real estate company accounts. Clever eh? Seriously, I thought what a great sentiment and how easily it translates into the real world and scrapping. I don’t know many people who couldn’t use a dose of “Love your area/Love you” in their lives. I really like how visually bold everything is, the design and colors, the great mix of graphics and photos. There’s a lot going on and yet there’s still a pretty clean feel to it all. So what do you think? There’s no pressure here, just enjoy and take from it what you’d like. Be inspired and get the mojo flowing for you.
