For as long as I can remember I have loved letters. I’m an avid reader, I begged my parents to teach me to read because I couldn’t imagine having to wait for school. I love fonts and typeography. I’m consistently drawn to monograms, logos and initials. Since becoming a scrapper I’m a total sucker for alphas. I love what letters do, create words and art, express feelings, they communicate. Aesthetically I like the way they look, the lines and shapes of them. I decided that I needed to share my love of letters this Monday. I found a couple of pretty cool “moving” pieces. Unfortunately,I’m blogging impaired and don’t know how to embed the darn things. However you can check them out here and
And as an aside…if you have an IMAX theatre near you, go see U2-3D now. Crazy cool!

I love searching the galleries and seeing all the wonderful layouts using Lauren’s goodies. It blows my mind to see all the different ways you gals use the products, the possibilities are endless. This week this layout by Joelsgirls caught my eye with it’s big ol’ purple bracket and of course the cute little kiddo. I love how she recolored the Big Ol’ Brackets and Ruled Alpha to match the LSU shirt. YOU rocked it Joelsgirl!

Leave some lovin’ on Joelsgirl layout and view the rest of Joelsgirl’s gallery here.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Hello and Happy Thursday, everyone! Kelly here
We are still missing our Lauren; she’s settlin’ into the Texas way of life and waiting to get back up and running. But before she starts throwing out new goodies for all of us (I hear it’s coming soon!), I want to show you one of her newest designs that I just totally love. Ruled Shapes. Frames, snowflakes, stars and hearts…oh my!…not to mention some groovy little circles! Take a look:

here at Oscraps
the long skinny frame is just to die for, imho
These awesome little shapes will not only add some serious texture to your layout, but also a bit of whimsy and fun. And they perfectly coordinate with Lauren’s Big Ol Brackets and Ruled Alphas. Yum!
Check out how some of us used these little gems:

I know many of you out there are just like me….former paper scrappers who have dove head first into the digital world, and are left with a wealth of pretty, and pretty expensive paper scrapping supplies that aren’t getting any use. You can’t throw them out because 1) they still look pretty and 2) you paid a lot of money for them.
So what’s a scrapper to do? Well you can brighten the lives of people less fortunate, that’s what you can do! I’ve found that in my local community, there are a lot of options for donating craft and scrapbooking supplies for people who can really appreciate them. My personal favorite organization is Crayons to Computers ( http://crayons2computers.org/ ), a non profit organization that functions as a “free store” for teachers that teach in impoverished schools in my community. C2C has branches in several cities across the country, so check and see if there is one in your area.
If not, plenty of other places will be thrilled to accept your donated supplies, like the local Children’s Hospital, women’s shelters, churches, and senior citizens centers. And don’t forget, there are always your local schools. In these days where money for extras just doesn’t exist and teachers are buying supplies out of their own pockets, I’m sure they’d appreciate some yummy scrap goodness.
So what are you waiting for? Share the love today! Scrap supplies should be used and loved and not just hoarded!

Dropping in quickly to help kick start your Monday. Work is kicking my butt but I NEED to take some time to get inspired.
One thing I have been able to embrace since I moved to the US is the concept of online shopping. It took me a little while to get used to the fact that I couldn’t try things on before purchase but once I became comfortable with returning things, I have found that shopping online is a lot of fun - especially when the alternative is two hours in a shopping mall with a bored and restless two year old.
Shopping sites like Anthropologie make the online shopping experience even more attractive. Although I do have to admit that I have never actually purchased anything from Anthropologie online, I just LOVE window shopping amongst the wonderful photographs and the gorgeous colours of this site. I have purchased something for the actual store and just have to say that it is one of the most beautiful stores with some unique gift ideas.
Here are just few of the gorgeous images on the site that inspire me to create - as soon as I finish my real job, that is.

Thanks for stopping by.

Yay, It’s Friday! Another week has flown by and another rockin’ layout has been picked for this week’s You Rock! My search this week led me to Alice’s Taking A Nap layout. A wonderful layout using Lauren’s New Zealand Naturals kit. I love all the little details, and how she tucked the frames into each other. And what a awesome picture, now if we all could have time to take in that type of relaxation! Great layout Alice.. You Rocked it!

Leave praise for Alice’s rockin’ layout here. And be sure to check out the rest of her amazing gallery.
Have a great weekend everyone!
