Hello all!

Today I wanted to tell you about one of my latest “Oooh Cool” finds. Not only is it practical (well, sort of LOL), it’s also full of possibilities for inspiration and eye candy. I’m talking about Domino magazine’s My Deco File.

My Deco File

Without subscribing to the magazine or paying for anything, you get to create a nifty gallery of images that you find around cyberspace. You can upload your own pictures or the My Deco File Bookmark grabber lets you capture images as you browse the web. While the original intent is to organize home design inspirations, you can grab a layout from a gallery to lift, or a color swatch, just as easily as an image from a blog feed or website. You can then organize them into “books” if you so choose, in any type of category. Or don’t, you have a lot of control. One of my favorite features is that I can keep books private or make them public. After  you add an image, it takes you right back where you started. It’s a never ending supply of all things fun to look at.

Check it out here…..My Deco File

Have fun!

It’s always fun to spotlight one of our own! One of own who has amazing talent and a HUGE heart. One of our own who has been one of the team since almost the very beginning!

That ONE is the amazing KEELY!!!

Keely has been a part of Lauren’s team several years and is a huge part of the close knit family we have become! We all love and adore Keely for her huge heart and the support and inspiration she has given us all.. We all decided to choose one of our favorite Keely layouts from her gallery..

Karen chose Keely’s “Dreams” layout

The first thing that comes to mind about Keely is how positive she is. She’s always a cheerleader on our team, but I often see praise that she’s left around the community for others, too. I also love the sweet perspective she brings to her layouts. She does a fabulous job of scrapping her emotions, which is just what scrapping should be about! …..From Karen

Renee and Lauren both chose Keely’s”40 years and counting” layout

I’ve known Keely for about 2.5 years now. I guess that’s as long as I’ve been scrapping! We’ve been on various teams together and she has always been a great friend and scrapper. If you need someone to talk to or just a shoulder to cry on, Keely is always there. I feel so lucky and blessed to have made of friend out of her and I hope someday I will be able to meet her face to face so that I can tell her that. Here is one of my favorite Keely LO’s. I just love the way she uses her elements  and all the suttle touches and those pics of her super cute DH are so fun. MWAH!!!! …. from Renee

Although Keely would NEVER admit it, she’s one of the MOST creative scrappers around! I don’t know what i love more… her honest scrapping of everyday life or her attention to every tiny detail… or wait, maybe her ability to rock an extraction! Keely, bottom line, you RAWK sistah, thank you for always inspiring us! *MWAH* xoxoox ….from Lauren

Jen chose Keely’s “Shared” layout

As a scrapper, I look to her for inspiration, She puts such a unique spin on elements - she’s taught me to have more fun and to break out of my comfort zone! And I admire how much her scrapping expresses so much of the personal story behind the photos. Her heart is in every layout, 100%. …from Jen

Nicole chose Keely’s “Tomgirl” layout

I think this page sums up Keely’s fabulous scrapping style - fun. I love Keely’s style and I am grateful for the fact that I have “met” her through this CT. She is such a wonderful, caring person. …from Nicole

Kellie chose Keely’s “Flopsy Mopsy” layout

I am so honored to get to create alongside Keely! Her layouts constantly inspire me. I love her bright use of colors! But, more than anything, her layouts inspire me to be a better mother. I want Millie to grow up in a home knowing she is as loved and cherished as Keely loves her girls! …from Kellie

Stephanie chose Keely’s “No Supermom” layout

This layout shows just how loving and inspirational Keely is to everyone on our team. I always love her journaling and it is not only inspiring but heart warming to see how great of a mother she is to her two lovely daughters! I have been on the team with Keely from the way beginning and it has been a great pleasure to get to know her throughout the years! We love ya Keely! …from Stephanie

Thanks again Keely for all your kind words, your warm heart, and your overflowing inspiration!

Stephanie here.. Bringing you some cute hybrid goodies. I have come to realize that you can use digital designs for just about anything!!! Especially if you have a extremely crazy creative mind like myself.. This morning I wanted to share two recent projects that I have been working on using the fabulous Lauren designs!!!

I can’t enough of these cute hair clippies that I have made for my dear daughter.  At first I was making them out of regular fun fabrics but was always having a hard time finding stuff to match certain outfits. Then I got to thinking.. “Hey.. that paper from Lauren’s new kit would match perfect“. Then it all began.. I was making clippies like crazy with every paper you can imagine!!!

They are so fun and pretty simple to make.

You’ll need the following items..

  • plain white or light colored fabric
  • iron on transfer paper
  • a covered button kit (available at Joann’s or Michael’s. I used 7/8″)
  • craft wire
  • hair clippies

I started by printing off 2″ squares using some of Lauren’s papers onto Iron On Transfer Paper. Then simply followed the iron on directions and transferred the squares onto my plain fabric. Then covered the buttons with the custom fabric using the button kit. I adhere the hair clippie to the back of the button using heavy craft wire. Simple as that! You can go crazy with all the fun digital papers out there..

I made the following with Lauren’s Country Club Reject papers (pink heart paper), Bashful papers ( polka dot) and Create Wings papers (flowered paper). I also chose to add a “P” using text to one of them to create a monogram style.

The next project I want to share I have been raving about to all my friends. The Target here in town is completely sold out of the albums I have made that many!

I always get together with friends and family and always kick myself for not bringing current pics of the kids. Or I do bring some along and they end up getting smashed and bent when they are thrown in my purse. I found this little card wallet on the end cap at Target and knew it was the perfect solution to my problem.

(And I wasn’t the only one as I saw another gals blog that had the same idea the day after I had made mine..;))

I simply made my own little brag book by creating small pages (3 1/4″ x 2 1/8″) to insert into the wallet. Then used additional Lauren goodies to simply decorate the outside. I didn’t want too much on the cover in worries that it will again get jumbled around in my purse.

Cover created using Lauren’s Tranquil Escape Collaborative kit available this month at Catscrap. Inside pages using various Lauren Kits available at LDD.

The wallet contains 10 sleeves, so it will hold 20 pages front and back.

You’ll have to stayed tuned in the next couple weeks for more of my crazy hybrid ideas!!

Have a great day!

Stephanie

I’m always curious how you all like to have products launched. Some designers release a new product (or more) each week…. some do save up a bunch of goodies to launch at the same time once a month.

What’s your thought on this? What do YOU prefer????

I use to think i liked weekly releases, but then i realized I’m one of those weirdos who hates to just buy 1 product at a time. If i’m shopping, i want a bunch of stuff in my cart! So that made me wonder if maybe i should switch my own launches to 1ce a month…..

Thanks in advance for your feedback!
